Notification of a planned new rail service (ÖBB Passenger Transport: Vienna Central Station – Dortmund via Wels/Passau)

The intention to operate a new commercially viable rail passenger service must be reported to Schienen-Control 18 months before the network timetable for which track capacity is to be ordered comes into effect.

The announcements apply to the ICE 228/229 service from Vienna Central Station to Dortmund, effective December 13, 2026.
