Market Participant Update, November 2026

The Austrian rail market saw two changes among rail carriers in November 2026.

The RheinCargo GmbH & Co KG  is no longer authorized as a railway operator in Austria following the expiration of its safety certificate on October 28, 2026.

Rail Trans International (RTI) has established a second rail carrier in Austria, RTI DE-AT. RTI has been operating in Austria since 2025 and was already active in neighboring countries to the east prior to that. The Slovak company focuses on the transport of petroleum products.
